If you look carefully, in the middle of the lush nature on the island you might be surprised to find the sculpture of Luciano Fabro The Nest (Il Nido). Queen Sonja talked about the first encounter with the sculpture at Vedøya :”midnight, shortly after the terrorist attacks of July 22, 2011, I climbed up to the sculpture. Only a few sheep, birds, sea and wind accompanied the encounter in the night. I was struck by a mystical, almost sacred state of mind.
